As postdoc at the Department of Forensic Medicine, I work primarily with chemical trace analysis; especially with advanced mass spectrometry imaging of fingerprints. I have a Ph.D. from 2006 and am educated chemist with a minor in mathematics from Aarhus University in 2002. I have previously worked with molecular imaging within nuclear medicine at Aarhus University Hospital.
My primary work is development of new methods for chemical trace analysis with a special focus on fingerprints; a work that is carried out in close collaboration with the Danish police. The goal of the new methods is to make even more traces collected at crime scenes useful in police investigations. I also contribute to other tasks of the department within synthetic and analytical chemistry.
