I conduct research on social inequality in health, with a particular focus on general practice and the patients who face the greatest challenges in receiving appropriate care. I am involved in:
- Escape from Inequity in Health, which uses gamification to promote structural competence among health professionals
- Social Prescribing in Danish General Practice (SPARK), which develops social prescribing as an intervention in general practice
- Deep End Denmark, which conducts user-driven research in collaboration with general practitioners serving communities with the most complex patient needs.
I teach public health, health inequality, complex interventions, and health innovation across programmes at the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University. My teaching ranges from lectures and classroom teaching for students to workshops and dissemination for clinicians. I prioritise dialogue, reflection, and practice-oriented learning, and I also have experience with teaching in international and interdisciplinary settings.
